Shawn Doyle

Shawn Doyle is a favourite and familiar face to audiences, turning out critically acclaimed performances on both the big and small screen.

Currently seen as the tormented brother Joey on the hit HBO drama Big Love, Doyle has also appeared in various guest starring and recurring roles on hit series such as Lie To Me, Desperate Housewives, 24, Lost, Numbers, Medium and C.S.I.

Most recently, Doyle co-produced and starred in the independent film Grown Up Movie Star. The film premiered to critical praise and sold-out houses at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.

Originally from Newfoundland, Doyle starred in the hit Canadian series The Eleventh Hour for which he received the ACTRA Award for Outstanding Male Performance in a Series. He has also garnered numerous Gemini nominations for his work on the gritty series The City, the miniseries Verdict In Blood, the acclaimed TV movie Eight Days To Live and the aforementioned The Eleventh Hour.

Doyle also boasts an impressive list of film credits including Frequency, Sabah, The Majestic, Don't Say A Word, Cletis Tout, Long Kiss Goodnight, Knockaround Guys and the recent Warner Bros. film Whiteout.
