Dan Horton
Horton began his career in the entertainment industry by receiving a B.A. from the University of Missouri in Film and Television. While there, he directed and wrote such productions as Gray Line and Cultural Ambiguity. Horton has his teaching credentials, and teaches English as a second language in the LA Unified School District. He has also written poetry and stories which have been published in Oblique Magazine.
Horton, along with partner Richard K. Underhill, has formed Philosopher's Stone Productions, which is currently in production on the docudrama Actor's Anonymous. This project profiles the lives of eight actors, focusing on the psychological and sometimes painful trials and tribulations of trying to make it as an actor. It is an artistic approach which analyzes the driving forces behind Hollywood's not yet famous. Also in development are two feature films, Confused Youth and Hollywood Spin.
Horton continues his studies in philosophy and foreign cultures. In his free time he enjoys a wide variety of recreational activities, including astrology, hang gliding, climbing and rappelling, mountain biking, modern dance, and singing.
