Peter Mensah Forum

by Penelope An avid Witchblade fan, I have seen other performers from the series go on to other roles both stage and film but have yet to see the same amount of work being generated by Peter Mensah who has one of the most beautiful bodies and pleasing voices I have every encountered. Is there any word as to whether he is doing stage work anywhere? Or whether he has any film projects in the works? I agree the man should definitely get more screen time. Does anyone else feel that he is possibly getting short shrift because he and Djimon Honsou (sp. ?) are so close to the same physical tyoe? Comment on this...

by Angela Pinkney I am currently watching Tears of the Sun. Wondering, who and where did that perfect blackman come from? Is he real? Well I did some research and found out that his name was Peter Mensah, 6'4' 215lbs, educated and of African decent. Well to make a long story short, I am a 35 year old, educated African American woman, married, divorced, married again with two African American children. After seeing Peter Mensah and learning about his heritage, for the first time in my life I felt really cheated. Peter Mensah is the perfect blackman, educated with a very sexy and strong presence. Damm, I wanna go to Africa! Comment on this...

by Madge The first time that I saw Peter Mensah was on an episode of Relic Hunter and I was totally impressed with his strong presence. He was perfect for that role of a witchdoctor and I appreciated his tremendous acting talent from then on. He looks like a pure-blooded beautiful African (Ghanaian ancestry) and I could not get enough of the guy from then on. I am of African descent and I have a hearty appreciation for people of my race, but no one struck me as much as Peter Mensah. When I saw a trailer for 'Tears of the Sun' on TV and he appeared in it for a split second, I said out loud, 'Now that is how a black man should look!!'. My boyfriend was sitting beside me and he took it personally. Sorry, Honey, but you just missed the most beautiful specimen of African I have ever seen (I said that in my mind). He is very intelligent, educated and certainly no beef-cake in spite of his perfect, well-muscled body. He is a talented actor and deserves more prominent roles. He is my kind of action hero and I certainly hope to see him in a fully starring role very soon. I have since been watching movies that he appeared in and I will continue to do so throughout his career. This week my science fiction channel (Toronto, Canada) promised to START airing Witchblade. I have been waiting for that series for too long. Comment on this...

by Dee Peter Mensah appeared in Season one of Witchblade and immediately was loved by all Witchblade fans, male and female. Peter Mensah's Hector Mobius was an extremely powerful character, his expression, his voice and his physicality. Fans were thrilled to get more of him in season 2, and he was again extremely impressive. He delivers lines with an eloquence and grace that reminds one of the greats of the Shakespearean stage. His physicality reminds one of a caged panther, graceful and lethal if unleashed. I hope to see more of him in the coming years. Comment on this...
