Dagmara Dominczyk Biography (2)

Dagmara Dominczyk made her professional acting debut in 1999, understudying the pivotal role of Alice in the Broadway production of Closer. She appeared more than a dozen times opposite Natasha Richardson, receiving glowing reviews from critics who happened to catch her performances. She recently appeared on stage opposite Eric Bogosian in his play The Red Angel at the Williamstown Theater Festival.

On the big screen, Dominczyk appeared in the Warner Bros. film, Rock Star, and as ‘Mercedes' in Disney's The Count Of Monte Cristo. She is currently filming the independent film, Grift, starring opposite Norman Reedus.

Born in Poland, Dominczyk moved to New York when she was 7 years old. She attended the High School of Performing Arts, receiving the LaGuardia Alumni Award for Best Actor. She then received a full scholarship to Carnegie Mellon University, where she graduated with a BFA in Acting and top honors, including the John Arthur Kennedy Award for Acting and the Andrew Carnegie Presidential Scholar honor.
