| by Sharon "Martin Scorsese tested her for the Ava Gardner role in "The Aviator" (The role eventually went to Kate Beckinsale.) Here's a link to the 2003 article that talks about that and other things Dag has done and looks forward too. It was written at the time she was appearing in "Enchanted April" on Broadway with Elizabeth Ashley, Jayne Atkinson, Molly Ringwald, Patricia Conolly, Michael Cumpsty, Daniel Gerroll and Michael Hayden. | by Sharon Aga has updated Dag's main fan site http://dominczyk.webpark.pl/# She's added two wedding photos and also a few clips of an interview Dag did back when "The Count of Monte Cristo" was coming out (about 4 years ago. Dag talks about her character, preparing for the part, and different aspects of filming a period piece. (FYI: The fiance she refers to in the interview was Jacob Lincoln, an aspiring director.) Really neat stuff. Be sure to check it out. Comment on this... |

| by Sharon Another talented Dominczyk sister: "The WB Heads to the Courtroom A fast-paced, procedural drama with humor, "Just Legal" stars Don Johnson of "Miami Vice" and "Nash Bridges" and Jay Baruchel from "Undeclared" and "Million Dollar Baby" as attorneys who save their clients and, in the process, save themselves. David "Skip" Ross (Baruchel), 19, a brilliant legal prodigy, dreams of becoming a great trial lawyer but due to his young age has difficulty landing a job at prestigious Los Angeles law firms. Kate Manat, guest star Marika Dominczyk, from The Orphan King" and "The Help", is a beautiful and brainy lawyer who was hired by one of the downtown law firms that refused to hire Skip. In school, Kate and Skip were friends and study partners but in the working world, they often find themselves on opposite sides of the courtroom, and Skip continues to struggle to hide his strong attraction to Kate. Skip ends up working for Grant Cooper (Johnson), a once a great lawyer, who lost an important case he in which his client ended up being executed. In a personal and professional struggle, Cooper is barely scraping by to rebuild his career. A functioning alcoholic with a cynical view of the world, Cooper is nonetheless touched by the enthusiasm and idealism he sees in his unlikely new protégé. Skip's brilliant mind allowed him to excel at all things academic, but his sheltered upbringing left him with very little social skill to fall back on. As Cooper helps the young man make the transition from school and boyhood to the tough world of court and manhood, Cooper is reminded of the best part of himself – the part that got lost along the way. The cases faced on "Just Legal" are the ones that most lawyers do their best to avoid. Cooper and Skip defend society's forgotten people, not the wealthy. Their stories involve murder, mayhem, medical malpractice, rape, racism and classic whodunits with surprising twists. Many stories are based on classic legal cases from the past, while others resemble today's headlines. In a realistic portrayal of the everyday world of trial attorneys, Cooper and Skip are always the underdogs, forced to do the gritty work of hunting for clues and tracking down witnesses in the beautiful but often dangerous world of Southern California. With each case, Skip develops his talent as a lawyer, even as he loses some of the innocence that drew him to a legal career in the first place. His youthful tendency to view the world and the law in black and white slowly gives way to the knowledge that most of the world exists in shades of gray. As the two work their way through the legal system, defending the accused and crusading for the unjustly wronged, Cooper teaches Skip to be a lawyer and a man, while Skip renews Cooper's faith in the law and himself." | by Sharon Here's a post, from the IMDB board for Prisoner, by a woman whose son was in "Prisoner" about Dag's character "Olivia": "As for the earlier question about Dag, she plays Derek's (Julian McMahon) colleague AND love interest. That woman is spectacular-looking!" :o) Comment on this... | ||||
