John O'Brien

John O'Brien grew up in Hollywood and entered the music business working as a roadie for touring bands. After years of playing bass guitar and admiring bands like Parliament, Funkadelic and Sly and the Family Stone, O'Brien toured the United States with America's Hardcore, a punk band. O'Brien has since focused his attention on music production and songwriting, contributing as a producer, musician and co-writer for a number of artists, including Amanda Marshall, Brownstone, Kahleel and Super 8.

O'Brien just finished co-producing and co-writing the second album by Poe, a critically acclaimed project which took two years to complete. He is currently working on sound design and programming for Zucherro, the Italian pop superstar, and has started working on his first solo album for Hollywood Records under the name J.O'B. Always interested in scoring for film, O'Brien composed the music for a short film, The Unicycle,, which was produced by Vince Vaughn. Made is his first feature.
