Best known for her work on the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning HBO series Sex and the City, Kristin Davis has proven herself as a talented and versatile actress through a variety of roles in television and film.

Having wrapped the sixth and final season of Sex and the City in 2004, Davis found herself with nominations for an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She has since chosen to expand her career into a number of different areas. Davis recently entered into a development deal with HBO to create a series for the network in which she will star. She also signed on as the new face of Maybelline New York, representing the cosmetics brand in national TV commercials and print advertisements to appear in late 2004. This fall, Davis was heard as the voice of Miss Spider in Nickelodeon's animated series Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, airing on Nick Jr., the pre-school division of Nickelodeon. Davis is will next be seen with Tim Allen on the feature film remake of The Shaggy Dog for Disney.

On the popular Sex and the City, Davis portrayed Charlotte York, an innocent and extremely intelligent art dealer who constantly struggles with her inhibitions as she confronts New York's single scene. The show, created and executive produced by Darren Star, also starred Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kim Cattrall.

Davis was also recently seen in the original film The Winning Season for Turner Network Television (TNT) starring with Matthew Modine.

Davis returned to the theater in 2002 appearing onstage in Brave New World, a collection of poignant original works that commemorated the September 11th attacks. In Land of the Dead, written and directed by Neil LaBute, Davis starred opposite Paul Rudd as a woman who must deal with losing two loved ones on the tragic day. Davis also joined the rotating cast of The Exonerated, the critically acclaimed presentation that recounts the true stories of wrongly accused and convicted death-row inmates, alongside Joe Morton, Chad Lowe, and Tim Daly.

Prior to Sex and the City, Davis made a huge splash on the television scene in the pop culture phenomenon, Melrose Place. In the 1995-96 season, she played the devious Brooke Armstrong. Her character was so popular that she was even brought back onto the show for a few episodes following her character's untimely demise.Davis has also guest-starred on television series such as Will & Grace, Seinfeld, Friends, ER, The Larry Sanders Show and The Heidi Chronicles.

Born in Boulder, Colorado, Davis moved to Columbia, South Carolina when her father, a Professor of psychology, transferred to the University there. She later attended Rutgers University and upon graduation moved to New York where she began working in classical and contemporary theater, as well as commercials.
