Ron Cook's extensive screen experience includes roles in Lasse Hallstrom's Chocolat, alongside Juliette Binoche, Johnny Depp, Judi Dench and Alfred Molina; Philip Kaufman's Quills; Mike Leigh's Topsy-Turvy and Secrets and Lies; and Peter Greenaway's The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover.
Cook's extensive theatre portfolio includes numerous critically acclaimed stage performances at the Royal Shakespeare Company, Royal Court, National Theater, The Lyric Theater and Donmar Warehouse, in productions as diverse as Robin Le Fevre's Helpless; Howard Davies' Vassa; Harry & M directed by James McDonald; and John Dove's production of Prayers of Sherkin.
Film and stage work is also accompanied by a variety of television roles, including Andre Konchelovski's The Odyssey, Tom Jones, The Singing Detective, The Miser, Black Adder and Richard III for the BBC, Les Girls and Sharpe's Rifles for Central, Maigret for Granada and Whoops Apocalypse for LWT.
