by Rob Within the last two weeks I saw the two episodes of "Best of Both Worlds" on BBC Prime at my home in Switzerland. I had seen Alice before but I guess my mind was elsewhere because I just didn't place it in the front of my mind. This past week I went out and got copies of everyone of her works that I could. BECAUSE I am now hoping that Alice may be the solution to a problem that I had been encountering. During the last three years I had donated my time and expertise to one of the world's most repected international help organizations and I lived through many incredible life experiences, including Afghanistan, Chechnya, Sierra Leone, Congo....
I have now spent the last six months writing about all of this and have in the process been contacted by numerous publishers, which had the domino effect of creating great interest from film makers. Thing is, I have told all of these film companies, no deals with any of them would be forthcoming unless I have the final most important input into who, if a film where made, would play the main female character. It would have to be someone extremely intelligent, charismatic, fun, creative, and beautiful. And also be able to face that ultimate challenge for a British/ European actress - playing the part of an American woman. Alice's linguistic skills and the fact that she was born in the States should make it a interesting, exciting role.
I thank my lucky stars that I turned my tv to the BBC and got 'hooked' on the intensely real and excellent talent of this fine lady.
