Earl C. Poitier
Earl C. Poitier made his motion picture debut in the hit football drama, Remember the Titans, portraying the real-life character of Blue Stanton. His other credits include Disney Channel's The Jersey, I Surrender All and HBO's Day Break of Freedom. He is also known to television audiences for his recurring role of George on the current season of the WB series Roswell.
Poitier, the son of a career soldier (and B-52 bomber expert), spent most of his youth growing up in Florida. He won a full scholarship to the University of Tampa, where he earned his college degree studying music and drama. Following graduation, Poitier won an internship at the Maine State Musical Theatre.
Upon his return to Tampa, Poitier taught kindergarten for a year before commencing his professional career on the stage, appearing in such regional productions as The Crucible, The Tempest, King Lear A Christmas Carol (as Marley), The Boys Next Door, Into the Woods, Tosca, Man of La Mancha and Show Boat."
