Craig Kirkwood
Kirkwood was discovered while on a high school trip to the taping of a studio television show. During a break in taping, Kirkwood commandeered the microphone from the show's audience coordinator and entertained the crowd with an improvised act.
Kirkwood can be seen in Gregory Navas' Why Do Fools Fall in Love? starring Halle Berry, Vivica Fox and Larenz Tate. He played the role of Lela Rochon's younger brother. On television he has guest starred on Sister, Sister, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Family Matters and Parent Hood. Kirkwood was also a series regular on Running the Halls, Mission Genesis, as well as having a recurring role on Mercy Point and My So Called Life. He recently wrapped production in Puerto Rico on the independent film Rain.
Kirkwood has also performed in theatre for notable plays such as Little Shop of Horrors, Grease and Big River.
Kirkwood's character in Remember the Titans resembles him in many ways. Like The Rev, in real life, he is a spiritual person, whose mother and stepfather are pastors. Kirkwood holds a Bachelor of Arts in theatre from the University of California at Los Angeles.
