| by GD I watch the Columbo series whenever possible--A&E, Bravo, AMC--wherever they have reruns, I watch Peter Falk's movies to the almost total exception of all other shows. I never feel bored even if I am seeing a Columbo show for the tenth time. I think it is perhaps due to the fact that Columbo's genre is not just a thriller--we know in the first 15minutes who killed who and how and why. It is the deductive piecing together of the evidence by the detective that is enduring. Peter Falk is just a marvelous actor. I wish him all good things. And thank him for entertaining so many of us with such wonderful, enduring work. Comment on this... |
