Highlights of his extensive career on stage include his work as Salieri in Sir Peter Hall's production of Amadeus at the Music Box, and he originated the role of the Marquis de Sade in Doug Wright's Quills at the New York Theatre Workshop, for which he was honored with Obie, Drama League and Encore Awards, and for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award. A classically trained stage actor, he is a founding member of Shakespeare and Co. In Lenox, MA.
