John Wood

John Wood, a distinguished British film, TV and stage actor who embarked on his acting career while still an Oxford University undergraduate, as a way of doing other things, has built up a considerable body of stage work (with the Royal Shakespeare Company and others). Working with such celebrated theatre directors as Harold Pinter, Peter Hall, Tony Richardson, Terry Hands and Trevor Nunn, he has won numerous Best actor awards including coveted evening Standard, SWET and Tony Awards for Peter Wood's Travesties.

The Little Vampire marks the latest in a number of film credits which include The Purple Rose of Cairo, Orlando, Metroland, Sabrina, The Madness of King George, An Ideal Husband and Shadowlands.

In television he was in, amongst others: the Young Indy series for Lucas Film Clothes in the Wardrobe, Momento Mon both for the BBC and Greek Myths for Channel 4.
