Biography #2

Paul Rodriguez has been entertaining film and television audiences for nearly two decades. Born in Mazatlan, Mexico, the son of migrant farm workers, Rodriguez has just completed four projects scheduled to be released in the spring of 2000; along with Price of Glory, he will be seen in Mambo Café starring Danny Aielo, Latin singing sensation Thalia and Rosanna De Soto, in Showtime's Resurrection Boulevard playing an attorney opposite John Seda, and what was his 26&supth; film, the comic-book adaptation G-Men, directed by Christopher Coppola and co-starring William Forsythe.

In addition to film work, Paul continues to expand his role as a television performer and producer. First gaining national attention when he was cast by television giant Norman Lear in the ABC series a.k.a. Pablo in 1984, Rodriguez recently completed his sixth special for HBO, producing and starring in Paul Rodriguez: Idiots and Armadillos, and just signed a deal with the newly revamped Spanish language television network Telemundo to write, produce and develop programming.

Through his production company, Payaso Entertainment, he created and is currently executive producing the hit sitcom Los Beltron, the first show on Spanish language television to follow the life of a Latino family living in the U.S. In addition to his continued work with Comic Relief, Rodriguez just finished taping a late-night strip-pilot for Team Entertainment and Pearson Television titled So You Think You're Funny, scheduled to air in September.
