| by Charlene Yandall I tell you what, I only have one thing to say about Mark Ruffalo and that is he is TOTALLY HOT. I didn't really know about him until I saw In The Cut and his performance as Malloy just blew me away. I am now shamedly one of those marooning fans of his & just can't seem to get enough of him...... His sex appeal on and off screen seems to be oozing out of his pores - will definitely be on the lookout for more of him on the big screen. Charlene Auckland, New Zealand Comment on this... | ||||

| by beth I think Mark Ruffalo is, without a doubt, one of the best actors I have ever seen. His subtlety is incredible. He reminds me a little of Al Pacino, except better, since Ruffalo nevers conveys any self awareness. I love watching an actor that you can tell he is really serious about finding the character, not just making it a potential star vehicle for himself, and that's what I get from Ruffalo. I almost felt sorry for Meg Ryan in In the Cut. I think she's great, but he blew her off the screen. Comment on this... | ||||

| by Claire I totally agree with the comments made by Christine and Mamta on Mark Ruffalo's performance in "In the Cut". I was totally bowled over by his overtly sexual character in the film and since buying it on video last week I have watched it 3 times. I never tire of watching him especially in the erotic scenes and I'm sure there are alot of women who would agree that although he isn't neccessarily your average sexual idol, he is so compelling that he leaves you wanting more. I am now a huge fan and since seeing the film for the first time I HAD to find out more about him and his other achievement (hence I found this forum). Having read Alvin's comments I shall definitely be buying other films he has performed in i.e. "You Can Count on Me" Comment on this... |

| by mamta i too agree with cristine about the comments on mark ruffalo. his has got lot of sex appeal. his dialouge delivery ...his facial expressions everything about him makes me crazy. though he has got ordinary looks but definitely there is something in him which makes him extraordianry. at the same time he is a wonderful actor....combination of personality and talent is awesome. after watching movie 'in the cut' and considering his performance as malloy made me to know more about him.....and i ended up in being big fan of him. mamta Comment on this... |

| by Christine I just saw "In the Cut". The only good thing about the movie is Mark Ruffalo....that man defines sexy. I found his performance (especially in the bedroom scene) AMAZING. Wow, he left me utterly breathless. He is absolutely gorgeous. Sunrise is a lucky lucky woman.... Comment on this... |

| by Alvin I just can't get over the impact of Mark's performance in "You Can Count on Me." It reminded me of a few other male debut performances that just knocked me out: James Dean in "East of Eden," Michael Keaton in "Night Shift," and Russell Crowe in "The Sum of Us." In each case (oh, and Jack Nicholson in "Easy Rider," Dustin Hoffman in "The Graduate"), an unknown actor just took over the screen, blowing everyone else out of the water by his sheer presence and ability to suggest such deep emotional currents swirling inside him. Meanwhile, there's a charm and tremendous appeal and charisma as well so you are just mesmerized by the power of the performance. I just loved "You Can Count on Me," and certainly Laura Linney matched Mark's performance minute by minute, but still he was the surprise and the harder role to make so appealing.
