Derek Thompson (born 1948) is a Belfast, Northern Ireland-born British television actor, most notable for playing Charlie Fairhead in the long running series Casualty.
Having had many screen relationships, he is the only remaining original cast member, and in 2004 went on six-month sabbatical to Canada.
There is a different Derek Thompson (born 1950) who is a horse racing pundit and presenter on Channel 4, At the Races and talkSPORT.
