Richard Roxburgh Forum

| by Vicky I became an instant fan of Aussie actor Richard Roxburgh when i saw the latest adaptation of "The Hound of the Baskerville" on PBS awhile back. He became the quintessential Sherlock - as if there came none before him, he truly made this character his. I thought this was the first time I had seen him on film, when I remembered him from "Children of the Revolution" with Rachel Griffiths. A wonderful actor, classy, elegant, and SEXY! I would like some more info. on him - such as where to get in touch with him, etc. Anyone wanting to chat about him can email me at: vickmislick@yahoo.ca Thanks! | by Rune I most agree with Billieann Berg. Elegant, talented, classy, distinguished, able to melt effortlessly in and out of roles. Truly the best Sherlock Holmes I've ever seen, and able to distinguish himself even in such popcorn-movie roles as LXG. Although, admittedly, that movie did have literary merit, to those of us who read. If you learn anything about him--movie roles, anything, please post. I intend to follow this great actor's career as long as he continues to be onscreen. ---A dedicated fan Comment on this... |

| by lousimon Much impressed by what I have seen of him, but amazed at how much he looks like a gentlemen of my acquaintance who is Scottish, met his English wife in the 40s during the war ,on a boat enroute to Australia. It occurred to me that there might be a relationship of some sort, especially since I have a watercolor by my gentleman friend signed "roxburgh". Can you tell me what the actors background is, re parents, etc. and if the name Edgar means anything in his life. Comment on this... | ||||
