VERA DRAKE marks Peter Wight's fourth collaboration with Mike Leigh following 'Meantime', 'Secrets and Lies' and 'Naked', in which he plays the security guard who encounters David Thewlis's Johnny towards the end of the film.
A recognizable face from numerous British television series, including the acclaimed 'Out of the Blue', and, more recently, Craig Cash's 'Early Doors', in which he has a recurring role as a work-shy policeman, Peter Wight has also been seen in many films. He has extensive stage credits throughout the UK, including work with the National Theatre, Shared Experience and with the Royal Shakespeare Company.
