| by Lauren First and foremost Waking life is probably if not the best Richard linklater movie ever but the best movie i have ever seen. the creative animation on live action film goes over the edge of science fiction and takes you on a philosophical rollercoaster through the world of dreaming, which is a subject rarely if ever fully discussed in movies. it allows you to become a part of each characters being and brings you into it's mind boggling and deeply emotional themes. I especially love Linklaters cameos which include himself and characters from his previous movies such as Ethan Hawke and Julie Deply. Wiley Wiggins who playes the unnamed main character gives a stellar performance. i would like to see him more often in mre movies. the movies soundtrack is also amazing. this is one of those movies that is covered up because of it's lack of action and abundance of dialogue. however it deserves the attention of movie lovers everywhere. so far it is my favorite. Watch it alone!!! Comment on this... |
