Titus Welliver

Titus Welliver credits his creativity to his father, American landscape painter Neil Welliver, and his mother, a fashion illustrator, as well as to the many painters and poets who surround him. While growing up in Philadelphia and New York, he planned to become a painter, but he later traded in his brushes for acting. In 1980, he began to pursue it full time.

Welliver's first paying job as an actor was in a walk-on role in the feature film Navy Seals. This led to other roles in the films Mulholland Falls, Born to be Wild, JFK, Mobsters, The Doors, Roughriders, The Day Lincoln Was Shot, Riff Raff, a role he originated in the off-Broadway production, and The Last Capone.

Welliver's television credits include the series Big Apple, Falcone and Brooklyn South and the mini-series Blonde, all on the CBS Television Network. He has also guest starred in The X-Files, The Commish, New York Undercover and L.A. Law and had recurring roles on NYPD Blue, High Incident and Murder One.

A graduate of New York University, Welliver divides his time between Los Angeles and New York, with his wife, actress Joanna Heimbold, and son, Eamonn. His birthdate is March 12.
