when I first saw tea with Mussolini I thought it would be another boring documentary.
Unlike the documentries however, this one stared an inspirering incredibly hunky new actor. It gave the movie appeal.
Baid Wallace is an incredibly good actor!

Dicovering Baird! (Tue Oct 7, 2003 4:07pm ET)report post

Hi!:
Yestarday in the Spanish tvs there was a blockbuster Spanish film that the whole country was watching. My brother and father wanted to see that film. But my mother and I changed the channel in the comercials. There was a film about Italian dictatorship. In the film there was famous actress like Cher, maggie Smith and Judi Dench, it attract my attencion. Then I saw the cute guy. Your (and now our) Baird Wallace. He has a beautiful smile but this morning I got a shock when I discovered that he is almost 23!! (he was 17 he made that film, to me he looked 14-15... ) What a pity, is a little bit too older for me... or maybe not.
Do you know if he has any other movie?
Thank you and forget my horrible English please...

The first time I saw Tea with Musolinni i fell in love with Baird Wallace. He's a very mature actor for his age. I read sometime back that this was his first movie, why isn't he there in more movies.

Hey ya'll~
"Tea with Mussolini" is one of my favorite films...I loved each and every actor in the movie from Maggie Smith to Cher to Judi Dench. ESPECIALLY, though of course, I loved Baird Wallace. It's amazing to me to see not only the maturity in his acting (it being his first film,) but also in his younger-counterpart who plays young Luca. Not only is he a beautiful actor, but I don't know how anyone could not fall in love with his innocent, boyish demeanor face! Yeah, being a 15-year-old boy, I have to admit...he's awfully cute!

as soon as i saw tea with mussolini, baird wallace stood out, even above all those famous wonderful well known actors like judi dench and maggie smith. and i just want to say that all those horrible comments people made about him in reviews and critiques and the likes, i couldn't believe they had the wallops to say them! dear me, baird wallace was absolutely wonderful... and i hope he gets the chance to keep going! tea with mussolini wouldn't have been tea with mussolini without him.

Hope Baird will continue with acting (Sun Mar 30, 2003 12:27am ET)report post

He goes to Columbia University now in NYC and he's studying Italian film. He's also in a fraternity. I thought he did such a beautiful job in Tea With Mussolini and he really does look very much like photos of a young Zeffirelli that I've seen.

He seems like a very talented guy what with movies and acting being a touring cellist, too! The cello is such a lovely instrument.

I wonder does he speak Italian fluently? Sometimes when a person is enrolled in an English school in other countries they don't get to learn the native tongue as easily.

His real first name is william, too. Anyway off I go. I really do hope to see more of him!

He does speak Italian like a native and he's very good in this picture. I'm a man but his smile makes my heart melt. I hope he's living a good life whatever he is doing. I do wish someone could publish a nice picture with a smiling Baird!

And yes, the last time I saw him, he spoke fluent Italian. One of the benefits of attending a school like St George's.
