wow...I am so lucky that I found this website! I have loved Clint Walker from the first time I saw him in the great Cheyenne series. I have two personalized autographs that I purchased from his great website...Clintwalker.com When God made Clint He broke the mold...the fabulous face, physique, hair, beautiful blue eyes, and a voice that could melt butter. Clint should have been a major movie star but he was simply better looking than all of his leadingg ladies! God bless you Clint, stay in good health, and thank you for all the wonderful memories.

Which episode (Sat Jan 20, 2007 5:38am ET)report post
by Margaret
I too am a fan from way back and have just purchased some of the 'Cheyenne' series. With watching these shows it is bringing back memories and I find myself still a fan of his.
There is one that I vaguely remember in one of his episodes of the Cheyenne show about Cheyenne riding a horse. I don't know whether he was being pursued or not, but that horse kept on going until the destination was reached. When it was, the horse died. Or maybe I should discover which one myself as i am slowly watch these shows.
It is great that Clint has his own website and being able to purchase some of the movies and shows. I may even order the book. Has anyone read it and what is it about.

I believe the episode you are referring to is called:-
Renegade from Season 3.
The guest star is Peter Brown from the TV Show" Lawman".
Clint Walker's Novel(Along with Kirby Jonas) is an enjoyable read about a couple of prospectors looking for gold in a dangerous environment in the hot outdoor wilderness.
They encounter many obstacles with various twists ,which will keep you guessing -with their ultimate fate.
The way the story is being described,it makes you feel and see what is going on.I was pleasantly surprised, how well it was written.
If it ever transfers onto the screen,I will definitely watch it.
Steven Spielberg should be the producer in order to get the full impact of this story

Thanks for letting me know that particular scene was in Renegade. I watched it this afternoon and could see that what I had perceived as being a major part of the episode all those years ago, was but a small part in the film. So amazing. I'm so glad I watched it.
I also read Yaqui's Gold which I found a great read. Once I hit the section where they started to go and search for the gold, I couldn't put it down. It had me wondering what was going to happen right to the very last page...what a surprise ending. It was good to read a bit of history at the end about the Yaqui indians.
Thank you for your comments.

Clint Walker is the kind of person who sets the standards
for all that is of value in life. His image on the screen is the
reflected in the real person he is. I wish Hollywood and all media would return to providing people with heros to look
up to, like Clint, rather than to continue putting so much
trash in our lives.
I have met Clint Walker and believe me I was/am
impressed with everything about this gentleman.

I grew up with the likes of Mr. Walker on TV with his Cheyenne roll. I would not miss those episodes growing up and have always appreciated Clint's work. As far as I know, I also saw all of his movies and I can say there are no actors today that best him in my mind. It is hard to believe he is almost 80 years old, but then it is hard for me at times to believe I am 67 years old.
Best wishes to Clint and his family and I hope he is enjoying good health.

Just a note to say I think the world of Mr. Walker -- Not only is he talented, handsome, (and don't forget that beautiful voice), but he's good inside, too! I know this personally!!!!!

Go to clintwalker.com and they have the whole first season of "Cheyenne." They also have some neat other things, like t-shirts, posters, and his book. He will autograph them personally for you.

He did something very kind for my son, and I will always appreciate his (and his wife, Susan's) kindness.

Like a lot of people on here, I was born in the early '60s and didn't really know who he was until later -- but he's the best. My favorite cowboy of all time!!!!!

Love you, Mr. Clint!!!!

Mr. Walker, I love the old westerns. The westerns lately seem contrived. Your work will always be a classic. I was wondering if you are related to Joseph Rutherford Walker of the Manzanita Ranch Calif.. The Walker Pass was named for him as well as a lake. One of the first white people to discover Yosemite. My ancestrial grandfather James was his uncle.
