Akira Kurosawa Forum

| by Evan I am doing an english project on revolutionaries and I picked kurosawa. However we need to get a written document that we can analyze for rhetorical devices. So long story short I wanted to get a translated script of either Yojimbo or Seven Samurai but I can't Find them anywhere, let alone the japanese script. If you have the script (or at least part of it) plz send it to my email. Comment on this... | ||||

| by Cita right on! As of now, just two comments about this greatest of Asian directors if not the world. He invented cinematography unhampered by the times by which he had chosen to grace the world with his genius. Or MAYBE its a given! I think the mans genius would transcend even a forum. Theres just a million adjectives to describe his work. Comment on this... |

| by mark im with u on this jason, i cant believe it either. As a current student of film it is clear that world cinema would not be as it is today without the influence of the quite rightly said 'genius' that is akira kurosawa. quentin taratino wouldnt be what he is, as would spielberg and lucas. kurosawa was the master of expressing relative realities to film....he has not been surpassed before or since. | by jason I am in utter disbelief that the best director of some of tthe best and most influencial films of all time has not been commented on here at all!!! The man reinvented Shakespere, redifined the use of moving camera, and told stories in cinema that even by todays standards, would be mindblowing!!! Yet, no one was said a word. The guy's a genius! His films are among the best committed to celluloid. His compositional black and white work, and highly expressive/aggressive use of color in film sets a standard that still goes unmatched. How is it that no one has said a word about him yet?!? Comment on this... |
