| by Tanu I have been a big fan of Alphabet City since I was a teenager. Now that the Alphabet City release is out as a DVD (2003), I am thrilled as I can watch Vincent Spano all over again! One of the reasons I have always loved this movie is, of course, Vincent (who I consider is one of the handsomest men around) as well as the music, the directing and the story line. The ENTIRE movie happens in one night, did you pick up on this? The directing is amazing - I love the surreal camera angles and the lens filters, especially the scene of the drug bust and the ambulance. There's something strangely pretty about the hazy lights. But the real kicker is the music. I am also a big fan of Nile Rodgers, and his music adds the complete element and feel of the movie - again, almost surreal and complements the directing to a T. Having a handsome face like Vincent Spano star in the movie also doesn't hurt. Comment on this... |
