I think that Roger is a very good actor. I have enjoyed all the movies that he has been in. I watched the one man show one night and I was very impressed with him.

Right now he is in a cable movie with Monica Calhoun and he is great. His facial expressions really tells me that he is truly the character that he potrays. I will give him a thumbs up on all his characters.

Thank you

MULTI-TALENTED (Mon Jul 25, 2005 11:26pm ET)report post
by GRUMBLE
I saw him in the movie Justice with Monica Calhoun. I really enjoyed it a lot. Wished I could have played the part of his wife in the movie. He's so soft spoken he catches your heart. I think he can roar when it's time too. I wonder if his bark is worse than his bite?

roger g. smith has to be one of the most overlooked and and undiscovered actord in the world. he is so amazingly talented, that he shoud be as well known as any other major star. the talent he has is nothing less than god given and he is working it! I cant wait to enjoy what he does next whether it be on the small screen or stage!

I know this is old Dee, but I could not agree with you more. We see a lot of the same old stars on all the late night talk shows and even some of the daytime talks shows from time to time. But you never ever see Roger on any of them. I've been looking ad searching at least 3-4 times a month all over the net for anything new on him or about him other than the Theather show that he performs in periodically throughout the year. But I did read something on him just a while back and even though it was old news about him I think if you had the chance to read it you might even figure out why he is so low profile given some of his famliy background. And you can respect that given the type of parents he has. But Roger is very deep. Deeper than you think and very well educated. I for one would like to see and hear more about him also. I'm surprised that not even Ophra has even had him on her shoe for an interview. She used to be right here in my hometown back in the late 70's early 80's. She usually can get anybody on her show. But I haven't seen Mr. Smith. And I love the middle name. As a matter of fact I would even prefer that over Roger. I'm always checking the filmography for new/upcoming films. Can't get enough of him.

I personally could not agree with you more. I feel that he has been overlooked and is long overdue his props. From the films that I have seen him in I 'd say he's dam good. I'd give Roger ten thumbs up. He's very versatile and very good at each character he plays. I love watching him although he is low key so to speak. But i feel he does deserve his props. If you've missed A huey P Newton Story, you really haven't seen a good actor.

Besides being FINE, he's a multi-talented brother. Does he have any new works out? Recently saw the televised Huey Newton one man show and had actually seen him perform that live in Philadelphia at the Painted Bride theatre several years ago. It's a very intense portrayal.

P.S. Is he married? Has he ever considered teaching Theatre, lecturing?

I was wondering the same thing myself. If not he needs to make a visit here to Maryland and meet him a fine sista. We know how to hook a brother up and treat him right.

I really enjoy Roger's work. I say him in A Huey P. Newton story and was fascinated. I really respect with actors create their own work to showcase their many talents. He is multitalented and hopefully the public will see more of him.
