Douglas Smith got his start appearing in commercials for Rattlin' Wrestlers. His first sitcom pilot was for NBC's Stuck in the Middle With You. Smith has also had various guest starring roles in Cold Case, The Outer Limits, The X-Files, and Family Law. He has also filmed on location in Australia as a series regular for the television project for Sesame Workshop and Noggin, Out There, which was broadcast throughout North America, Australia, and Britain.
Smith's feature film work includes Partners in Action, Hangman's Curse and Sleepover. At the age of eleven, Douglas played a pivotal role in the blockbuster hit Blast from the Past.
Most recently, he completed filming the lead in the independent feature, Citizen Duane, and can be seen in another independent feature, Rock the Paint, which premiered at the 2005 Tribeca Film Festival. Smith's independent work also includes the feature film State's Evidence and the lead in the holiday horror Santa's Slay.
