Ron Silver Forum

| by CMVS von Uthemann, President, RILMAC Int I believe that Mr. Ron Silver should pursue his political career more intensely. He showed his prowess in the acting world for many years and won awards and respect for this profession. Now it's time, perhaps, for him to consider a more permanent Republican political position. He showed tremendous courage supporting President Bush when all of his colleagues from Hollywood, the theatre and TV did otherwise. If I were President Bush, I would appoint Mr. Silver for a significant political position, if he has not done so already. Mr. Silver amazes me for his intellectual and emotional instincts for winners. His integrity, intelligence, compassion for helping others, excellent educational and cultural background are Mr. Silver's strong assets should he decide to go for the Senate or the White House in the future. | by Concerned citizen That Ron Silver has fallen for the Bush fear campaign by his support of the war in Iraq. I didn't watch the RNC but did hear him comment afterwards on MSNBC. He should know better that the war in Iraq is not keeping the U.S. safer, particularly when no WMD were found nor any link to 9/11 was established. I am disappointed that he is oblivous to the problems caused by the inept and incompetent Bush Administration. I'm cynical enough to wonder if he has been paid off to appear at the RNC. By supporting for Bush, Ron Silver doesn't give a d@mn about the many problems facing ordinary citizens have such as the expiration of the assault weapons ban, economic anxiety, skyrocking health and prescription costs and rising Medicare premiums. | by Virginia K. Young I always admired his talents, including singing (a small bit in "Married To It"), and especially his role as Alan Derschowitz in "Reversal Of Fortune". Now I find him the most courageous actor in NYC, since he supported Rudy's actions during "9/11". Ron is one of my heroes....his bravery in standing up for George Bush in NYC, also MY city, is unparalleled. He is alone among the NY/LA-sycophantic liberal chorus of those who parrott the P.C. sentiments of the media and those who have no insight into their own VERY capitalistic lifestyles. I thank and commend him. Comment on this... | |||||||||||||||||||

| by Kori It was refreshing to see an actor that didn't apologize for his convictions and was confident enough to appear at the RNC. Comment on this... |

| by gary I was very surprised to hear that Ron Silver addressed the RNC, declaring his support for Bush and the Iraq War. I always thought he was a good actor, the first time i remember him was in RHODA, I think he played a guy called Gary. On one level you'd feel sorry for him. its the male menopause, baldness, bit of weight and a mad lurch to the right. Comment on this... |

| by k. comstock How disappointing to see Ron Silver addressing the Republican Convention. All this time I thought he was a bright man. How in the world could he suport George Bush for another 4 years??? I suppose he does not have any children in Iraq fighting this senseless war. Stick to acting Ron. Comment on this... |
