| by Anya The first film I saw with Peter Sarsgaard was "Garden State" and the second "Boys Don't Cry." In Garden State I found his relaxed good looks and laconic voice perfect for the role . . . but it wasn't until I saw Boys Don't Cry again did I realize what exactly he brings to each character. All right, I know this sounds odd, but in his role of John Lotter there was this incredibly charasmatic part to him and I actually thought, "Well, hell, no wonder no one is standing up to him. I wouldn't have either." He seems to show an emotional, almost real side to any character - ane since, after seeing some of his movies, I realize that he gets to best, though sometimes "unlikeable" characters - he still manages to make the viewer almost seem sorry for him. He is very good at what he does and hopefully he will gain the overall recognition that we are now starting to give him. Because I was looking for fansites orignially and had found only one, I have decided to create my own fansite for Peter Sarsgaard: http://www.geocities.com/sarsgaardsleep/index.html It's not quite finished but the general layout is up.
