Marc Blucas
Marc Blucas starred in the gritty independent feature Prey for Rock n' Roll, based on the off-Broadway play. He portrayed a convicted murderer who, upon release, tried to re-establish a relationship with his younger sister by helping with her rock band to which she belongs. In doing so, he falls for the band's lead singer, Gina Gershon, and finds himself in love for the first time. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and screened to a sold-out audience at the Tribeca Film Festival. Blucas also starred in BBC Films' and Producer David Parfitt's (Shakespeare In Love) period romance I Capture the Castle, opposite Romola Garai and Bill Nighy. Directed by Tim Fywell, and based on the novel by Dodie Smith, the film focuses on a pair of rich, dashing American brothers who caused romantic turmoil for the daughters of a penniless upper-crust English family living in a dilapidated castle.
Additional film credits include John Sayles' critically acclaimed film Sunshine State with Edie Falco and Angela Bassett, the Vietnam War drama We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Summer Catch. For nearly two years, Blucas played Riley Finn, opposite Sarah Michelle Gellar, in the Emmy Awardwinning Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
