Diane Ladd
Diane Ladd is a recipient of myriad awards, including the British Academy Award, three Oscar(R) nominations, three Emmy nominations, the Independent Spirit Award for Best Actress and the Golden Globe. Her roles range from a biker chick in the Venice Film Festival selection and Parisian Critic-awarded Wild Angels, to the elegant socialite in Grace Kelly, to her first garnered Oscar nomination for her portrayal of the fast-talking Flo in Martin Scorsese's Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. Ladd will next be seen in Daddy and Them, directed by Billy Bob Thornton, and Bea Made the Booking. Other features include Primary Colors, Ghosts of Mississippi, Can't Be Heaven, Wild At Heart, Cemetery Club, A Kiss Before Dying, Christmas Vacation, Chinatown and Rambling Rose.
Her television credits include Cold Lazarus with Albert Finney, Touched by An Angel (for which she earned an Emmy nomination), Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, Thaddeus Rose and Eddie, Ruby Ridge, The Rock Hudson Story and Alice, the TV series.
Ladd is currently a partner in the production company Exxcell Films, in which she is preparing two new projects to go before the camera: Woman Inside, the story of Martha Mitchell, and Hot Water Biscuits, an in-depth Southern comedy-drama. She recently made her directing/writing debut with the Showtime film Mrs. Munck.
