by Bill B. Mr. Jewison, I just watched Jesusus Christ Superstar for probably the 15th time on film having seen it 2 times live. This is the first time on DVD, and I needed to write you to tell you how moved I was. The cinematography, the camera angles, the use of natural light, the setting, everything wa swonderful. The digital transfer let me appreciate your genius as never before. I was moved throughout this film to the point of audible wows, and 5 ovations. Thank you for bringing this great musical and story to fulfillment. Again, Thank you, Bill B. Comment on this...

by Pauline Dear Mr. Jewison: I just watched Fiddler on the Roof for the first time in 25 years. I'm sure I saw it 10 times in my youth and remembered loving it. Watching now was jaw dropping. What a genius you are. So many wonderful films. But FOTR stands the test of time. The shots, music, humour, tragedy, colour, clever interior dialogue - everything about that film is still pure genius. Thank you for making the planet richer with your vision. Comment on this...

by Marina Andreyev Hi Norman, I am so happy that I found your forum and can send you our huge love from Andreyevs family. I hope you remember Felix Andreyev, his wife Natalie, his son Andrew and me, Marina, Andrew's wife. You honored our family in Moscow by attending the dinner in Felix's apartment. Of course, we never forgot you all these years. Me and Andrew are very grateful to you every day for what you have done for us. We didn't write, because we lost all the addresses. But we keep in our hearts the moments of meeting with you as the most extraordinary and dearest. What if miracles happen and you will answer this email? We would be so happy to hear from you and ,may be,to meet you in New York,if you will have time, of course. We understand that you are very busy even to answer this message. But I am writing only to send our love to you. Comment on this...

by John Dowsett Dear Mr. Jewison, I am writing to obtain permission to use one of your quotes (from the Life & Times documentary made by Bruce McDonald) on an artist's web site. Actual Quote: "Art is the most important part of life ... because it is what expresses what we are ... and that's why culture and art survives when architecture falls apart. When the buildings fall down the art survives." As this was conversational, I would like to edit it for print. What I would like to use: " Art is the most important part of life. It is what it expresses what we are. This is why culture and art survives when architecture falls apart. When the buildings fall down, the art survives." Mr. Jewison, you are an inspiration for us all. Sincerely, John Dowsett Comment on this...

by Billy Boy Hello Mr. Jewison, I went to camp with your son Michael in Northern Ontario about 40 years ago. I just wanted to say Hi, and let you know I to got into the arts, Theatre, more than film. But I think you influenced that move, and I would like to thank you. I am working with a city in Ontario now to get a small theatre built, and would really like to discuss something with you. You are one of those film makers I sure the world would like to see go on forever. Your body of work is deverse and important, a comment is always made, whether silly or serious, always thought provoking. Thanks again Bill P.S. Say hi to Michael, I hope he remembers cabin 5 Comment on this...

by Mary Wrigley Hey, Norman! OK, so I played my Moonstruck video so often, I went to DVD finally. What a surprise to find the commentary and I have to say I soooo enjoyed it. Just because I'm Italian and can relate always makes it a hoot for me and my girlfriend Tina to watch it. We love when the mom wakes up and the first thing she says is "Who died?" So, typical!!! Of course, the "snap out of it!" line and so many others. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved and "YEAH, CHER" for fighting to get Nicholas Cage in this movie. No one could have done it any better. A classic combination since Hepburn and Tracy. So I'm years late in sending this, but better late than never. Sincerely, Mary Wrigley Rockledge, Pennsylvania Comment on this...

by John Lindley Hello Mr. Jewison I am a writer, of some talent as far as I am concerned and I am in the middle of typing up a script I have written. When it was suggested that I try and get in touch with you for an opinion. This is my synopsis. Title: Moments of Death Cassidy Sterling, Carl Reines, Aimee Harding and Jessica Mourning all have one thing in common. They have just died each one faces death in a different way. While they wait for the gateway to the next world whatever it may be the personification of Death walks with their spirits. Comment on this...
