| by Jennie M. Jennifer Jason Leigh is one of the greatest actresses ever to bless the hollywood screen. I have seen many of her flicks but the best ones I have to say that she did was Dolores Claiborne and Georgia. She gave 10 star performances in those flicks and she made me crack up so bad when she does a rendition of Van Morrison's Take Me Back in Georgia as she was doped up! HAHAHAHAH! DeFRANCESCO J.J.L. has been in my life since "fast times', since then, i've seen every single movie of hers and blown away by her fantastic performances! she has abilities to transform herself in these roles that other "actresses" cannot. she is ultimately overlooked and underrated from most moviegoers. she plays these parts with such versatality, you cannot recognize her fron one or the other. J.J.L.does her homework. she researches her roles and easily dives into with no trouble. she is the best at her craft--better than any other "oscar winning" actresses who don't know HOW to act, looking the same way, unlike j.j.l., in every film they are in, namely julia roberts and susan sarandon. i feel sorry for ANY person who has only seen her in "fast times" and "S.W.F." she has proven a worthy actress beyond this and i am PROUD to have known her work as well as see it time and time again. my personal fave of her is "DOLORES CLAIBORNE" better than the rest in hollywood, i will ONLY watch her in action than the others....she is just the best!!!!!! | by steve I find it amazing that after reading both biographies there is no mention of the fact that she is the daughter of Vic Morrow,and was estranged from him after her career started to take off. I am sure she would have been successful anyway,but there is no doubt that her famous father helped "ease" her into the business. I can find these candy coated bio's anywhere....how bout something that tells it all....... Comment on this... |

| by JerseyMick JJL is very easy on the eyes and has a nice original voice. Fast Times was a very accurate flick (I was in HS then). D.Parker was true to the spirit of its subject. So was Georgia. Some critics yap that JJL plays lotsa of off-the-wall parts...So what? What are we talking about here..curing cancer..world peace?...Its entertainment. Good work JJL !!! Comment on this... |
