| by Bill Over the years I have seen Tony Goldwyn in a wide range of roles and have come to realize that he is one of those actors who is frequently so good as to make the craft of acting look almost too easy. He occupies his roles totally and with such diversity of style and nuance that his own persona is often (and admirably) sublimated in favor of the characters he plays. As a result, the Hollywood powerbrokers and critics too typically don't see him a "star" but as a thoroughly reliable ensemble cast member. For a rare exception, witness the film "Joshua" in which Goldwyn shines in the lead, proving he can carry a picture regardless of genre. As film goers the fact that Goldwyn is underrated and underused in these larger roles is our loss. While he may have had a leg up being Hollywood mogul Sam Goldwyn's grandson, Tony Goldwyn has proven the old adage that nepotism aside, one needs the to have the talent to make it past the intial door being opened. Goldwyn is major creative talent who I suspect will be much more appreciated as the years pass. Comment on this... |

You did so good. We will probably show this film in our local church if possible. God Bless you, Linda Comment on this... |
