Where is Tom Hulce? (Thu Feb 28, 2008 9:42am ET)report post

Tom Hulce made Amadeus what it is - a wonderful film that still endures time!
He should have received an Oscar; his performance was brilliant!
He was comic, he was stunningly "Wolfi" and he was cute.
We watch this film for over 20 yrs, over and over again...
We all miss you!
Come back!

He can't come back. He's been packing too much fudge lately to walk.

Tom's performance is a dissapearance. At times during watching Amadeus, i wanted to turn away, cover my eyes rather than watch his descent into madness.

Astounding. Performances like that usually illicit two responses from me:

1. A general discontent with all the mediocrity (how ironic, given Peter Schaffer's main theme) that suddenly seems to be everywhere.

2. An overcoming sense of awe at how courageous an actor it takes to do a role such as W.Amadeus Mozart justice

Well done Mr. Hulce. Any more and it might've been alientating. Any less, and it would've been massively dissapointing.

TOM HULCE WAS A GENIUS IN THIS FILM. I DONT GET TIRED OF WATCHING THE MOVIE OVER AND OVER FOR YEARS NOW. BEING NOMINATED FOR THE OSCAR WAS INSUFFICIENT FOR THIS KIND OF PERFORMANCE. MR. HULCE, YOU WERE NOT ONLY GREAT, BUT ADORABLE , CUTE, FUNNY AND CONVINCING. YOU MADE ME LOOK IN TO THE LIFE OF MOZART, THANK YOU .

I'm relying again...I completely agree that he should have won the Oscar, but admit it, F. Marray Abraham was perfect (as was Tom for Mozart) for playing Salieri. And he grasped the old and young part soo well.

Tom Hulce was sooo amazing in Amadeus. I bought it two days ago and watched it both nights. I also watched it two times before that when I ordered it from Netflix. Big smile. Now I think he has a beard (ick, grossness, go to google images and look up Tom Hulce), and he looks like, NOTHING like he did in Amadeus. I really miss him too in big parts. I can't believe he playes in Equus! I was like, shocked when I first found out. And I also didn't know he played Quasimodo. Or in Romeo and Juliet!! Well, it's a long post so bye bye!

I saw Amadeus for the third time last night, I was emotionally moved, by the acting, the story and the unbelievable talent of Wolfy. JEALOUSY is a dangerous and unrewarding trait.
Do you know anyone with such a talent as Wolfy.
If you do, take good care of them!!
A GREAT FILM, WHERE IS MR HULCE??

What should the film have been without him!
He was just fantastic.

I think tom is great in Amadeus, he achived the part Mozart very greatly. Knowing that Wolfgang Mozart is dead, his music is still being played, Mozart is still popular. Thanks to Mr Hulce, He perfected the annoying but rather humorist laugh of Mozart. That movie was well written.
