And God Created Timothy Dalton (Wed Jul 27, 2005 4:40pm ET)report post
by Wendy Lynne
And God raised his hand and said, "I will create One Man
who is so perfectly, wonderfully, magnificently, thrillingly,
devastatingly, wickedly, devilishly handsome, that all you
women out there will simply swoon at the mere sight of his
face and form, and at the sound of his resonant voice, and
fall into a heavenly, blissfully, rapturous dream, which will
last and last forever and ever, until you are awakened in his masculine arms by his masterful kiss."

And that man, as we all know, Ladies, can only be:

Dalton. Timothy Dalton.

...and handsome is, as handsome does!

Pity it gets in the way sometimes (often?)

Might looks have got in the way of greater talent than mere photogenesis? (Is that a word?)
One could get the impression that this is a gang of few, we very merrry few... going by the posts, and the time lapse between 'em.. but?
Does anyone have info on recordings of Dylan Thomas' work by TD.... or... am I imagining it? I thought there were BBC records (You remember them, vinyl, needles, record players, etc?) Am trying to track poetry readings and thought perhaps, his Lordship might have done some...
Well, worth the post perhaps..

And yes indeed, despite quoting Sam Gamgee, will go on to quote Roseleen Linehan, Aka (can't remember) the housekeeper in an otherwise horrendous made for TV production "criminally handsome"..... some 30 something years later, still "criminally handsome" and though it seems impossible, getting less pretty but better looking all the time! But come on - don't judge the book by the cover! Let's look for the substance....

Oh my goodness me! What a handsome devil this man is. I've fancied this guy since I saw him in the film "Mary Queen of Scots" where he played Darnley. In the BBC production of "Jane Eyre", he played Mr. Rochester and my fate was sealed! He gave me goose-bumps. The only draw-back for me is that he smokes!! (sorry to all who imbibe in the dreaded weed, but there you go).
