I am reading his book and watching all his movies, the thorn birds, the music lovers, the Count of Monte Cristo and Shogun. I like the first three, especially the first one. But I am unable to understand the last one. I am looking for the other Rechird’s films. I was unable to know how many times I have watched “the thorn birds”. Comment on this... |

| by Ana Maria Good day, I have seen the thorn birds 2 times. First when I was 9 in my homeland (Colombia) then I could not understand many things of that great film. Now I am 29, live in Czech Republic and I have recently watched the film again. I did love it! I also saw the special features which the DVD brings... I love how after 20 years after capturing the film, Richard speaks with such a passion about it. He is lovely!! I got interested on him and just now I realized that he is a writter!! Tha is simple fantastic! I think I will start reading his books... Do you have a first one to recommend me, please? Is there some e-mail or post address where I can write Richard? Thank you, Ana Maria Russova Comment on this... | ||||

| by aPerson This is from a Chinese website: I heard he is a homosexual. What a big shock! writer: 222.67.131.* 2006-7-3 23:20 The following is my today's work to answer the above question. What you said is true. This might be one of reasons why he could play Ralph very well. He had such a problem when he was very young. In so many years, there were too many pressures for him because of such a problem of him. He succeeded to play Ralph and then he got loves/respects from all worlds. To leave the public a good appearance, he had to keep all secrets of him. Like Ralph, he was unable to open his real feelings in the public. He had to control/press them and hide them, since he thought that his feelings were not right. I am re-reading "the thorn birds" and reading Richard's book " Shattered love". So many things leave us to think about... Comment on this... |

| by Gloria I remember watching Dr. Kildare (was it every Thursday night?) religiously from age 7 or so - 12. How many years was this show on the air? (My age is getting in the way of my memory.) When I was sent to sleep afterwards I made up scenarios of the show again in my head with, of course me, as the heroine or the female being saved by Dr. Kildare. My older sister and I argued who was handsomer, Ben Casey or Richard Chamberlain and I still see no contest. What a lovely character he was in this show. There must have been some of R.Chamberlain in the character and I never fell out of love. Comment on this... |

| by aPerson This the When Richard was a small boy, he was very funny. This may be a good reason why he became a famous actor later on. I will find time to introduce him again. Comment on this... |

| by aPerson by aPerson II am reading Richard's book and I also know some people in China like to read this book too. So I decided to tell them some interesting thing about Richard after my reading. The following is my today's work( I have done a few times ), which has been posted in a Chinese website called the thorn birds. When Richard was seven years old, Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor of Unite Stats. Since then the schools could not have normal classes as before. Schools sent children to collected old newspapers through their neighborhoods and pile all papers tied carefully on the playground of schools. One day, Richard found an Oscar-like trophy on one of these piles, which was a shiny brass. Richard liked it very much and stole it. When he came home with that trophy, his Dad asked Richard where he got it. Richard lied to his Dad to say that he found it in the alley. His Dad let Richard show the exact place where the trophy was. Hence Richard took his Dad to the alley behind his house and pointed to a particular trashcan with his shaking fingers. His Dad knew Richard was laying to him. When both came home, Richard got spanked for his lying more than stealing Comment on this... |
