Richard Chamberlain
George Richard Chamberlain (born March 31, 1934) is an American actor who appeared in the television show Dr. Kildare and in several popular miniseries, including Centennial, Shogun, and The Thorn Birds.
He was a teen idol in the 1960s and has retired to Hawaii. He came out at age 69 in his biography entitled Shattered Love which describes how he felt he had to hide his sexuality in order to have an acting career.
