In addition, he has guest starred on such television shows as Malcolm & Eddie, Good News, Cousin Skeeter, The Parkers and Moesha, has co-hosted BET's Live From LA with his brother, who is also an actor, has appeared on The Jenny Jones Show, and has released a rap album with his brother, entitled Chunka-Luv.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Mixon is actively involved in the SEAP (School Entertainment & Activities Program) and the local Boys & Girls Club.
