Peter MacNicol
After graduating from the University of Minnesota, Peter MacNicol traveled the country as a regional repertory actor before making his big-screen debut as Galen, the heroic assistant sorcerer in Dragonslayer. After starring as Stingo in the critically acclaimed film Sophie's Choice, MacNicol went on to portray memorable roles in Ghostbusters II, Addams Family Values, Housesitter, Dracula: Dead and Loving It and Bean. He recently appeared alongside Jamie Foxx in the film Breakin' All the Rules.
On television, MacNicol starred in The Powers That Be and CBS's Chicago Hope before portraying eccentric attorney John Cage in the series Ally McBeal. Peter won an Emmy Award in 2001 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on Ally McBeal and directed and wrote select episodes of the show. Born in Texas, MacNicol resides in Los Angeles. His birth date is April 10.
