Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Lissauer began performing as a teenager in school plays and after high school opted to pursue his dream in Los Angeles instead of attending college. He landed an agent the day he arrived and booked his very first audition just days later, playing the lead in a Roger Corman production. From that first job, he has worked steadily ever since.
Lissauer is no stranger to The WB, having made guest-starring appearances on Roswell and Felicity before Sabrina. His small-screen credits also include starring roles on MTV's Undressed and Running the Halls.
When not acting, Lissauer pursues his musical passion.
