Louise Fletcher
Louise Fletcher is perhaps best known for playing the dictatorial role of
Nurse Ratched in
Milos Forman's award winning One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, a performance that won her both the American and British Oscar(R) for Best Actress as well as the Golden Globe Award and enough rave reviews to last a lifetime. Recently, she had a starring role in TriStar Pictures' High School High opposite
Jon Lovitz. Fletcher also starred in Two Days in the Valley, in Paramount Pictures' Virtuosity with
Denzel Washington and in Richard and Lili Zanuck's Mulholland Falls with
Nick Nolte,
Melanie Griffith and
Chazz Palminteri.
Her television credits include Married to A Stranger, HBO's The Silicone Wars and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She received an Emmy nomination for her guest-starring role in Picket Fences. Additional television credits include The Boys of Twilight, the top-rated CBS mini-series In a Child's Name, Tales from the Crypt, The Twilight Zone, A Song for You: The Karen Carpenter Story, Second Serve with Vanessa Redgrave and A Summer to Remember.
