| by waiyee His film might be a bit old fashion when compared with today's movie. However I find his film, in a sense, very romantic. Men are handsome and women are beautiful. I like the mystery fo his film. And I still have not seen any movie more fightening than "Psycho". Comment on this... | ||||

by JRRT0lkien Hello, I have some questions about „Psycho“. I would like to know what exactly brought Hitchcock to filming Psycho in 1959/60, but also what brought him to make “The Birds” shortly afterwards? These movies are horror-like suspense movies which, at this time, were new and singular. Why did Hitchcock think they would be successful? Another question woud be how “Psycho” was received from critics and viewers alike. What did they think of it, how did they value the movie? What was the tune of the reviews written in that time? And what made director Gus van Sant shoot a remake of “Psycho” in 1998? which meaning did “Psycho” have in 1960, which one in 1998? I would be grateful for any answer; and maybe you refer me to somewhere. Bye JRRT0lkien Comment on this...

by Jessie I think "Rebecca" is an excellent movie. Good using of lighting. And the suspense plots are so attractive. Comment on this...

by David Johns Coolroom.com are giving away the Hitchcock boxset on DVD. You have to find 4 things in their virtual flat to do with Alfred Hitchcock. I found a Vertigo poster and a compass pointing North by Northwest... But i can't find anything else. Check it out www.coolroom.com Comment on this...

by Danielle Stewart Hey! By the looks of this fansite it looks like no one really talks on here ! :S Please do!! I was wondering if any of you could help me! For my A2 Film studies we have to do an auteur project, and i've chosen to base mine upon Hitchcock. :D i was wondering if any of you guys had any suggestions or help you could give me. m looking at his highly personised stylised signature and whether these techniques alienate rather than engage an audience. It would be great to hear what you think! Thanks allot!! And pleeease pleeeeease reply! Thanks! Love Dani :D ;) xxxxxxxx Comment on this...

by Mathieu Hi, I happened to catch part of Suspicion yesterday on TV. I noticed that the music in the end sequence, when the couple is driving in a car heading towards the conclusion of the movie, is the same as the music for Spellbound's similarly revealing ski scene... I double-checked with my DVD's, and the music is indeed identical. That is striking, also because the music for Suspicion is by Franz Waxman, whereas Spellbound was scored by Niklos Rosza. Anyway, has this been discussed before? Thanks, Mathieu www.hitchcockonline.org Comment on this...
