Josie Maran

Josie Maran is a young star who is quickly capturing the attention of both the modeling world and most recently, the Hollywood community. After a successful career as the face of Maybelline, Maran went on to be featured in print campaigns for Guess, Gap, American Eagle and Ralph Lauren. She has been featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, as well as on the covers of such publications as Glamour, Self, Vogue, Marie Claire, Seventeen and Lucky. Yet, it is Maran's upcoming film projects this year which will establish her as one of the talented breakout actresses of her generation.

Following her role in Van Helsing, Maran will next be seen in a starring role opposite Holly Hunter and Brittany Murphy in Little Black Book, released by Sony on October 15th. In this film, directed by Nick Hurran, Maran stars as Lulu, the ex-girlfriend of Stacy's (Murphy) current boyfriend. After digging a bit too deep into Stacy's boyfriend's past, she discovers more details than she wants to know.

To top off her year, Maran will also star in the highly anticipated Martin Scorsese film The Aviator, the biographical account of Howard Hughes, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett and Kate Beckinsale. Maran will portray the character of Thelma, a cigarette girl that captivates Hughes (DiCaprio) following their introduction by his press agent.

Maran continues to be the face of Maybelline, appearing in numerous domestic and international print ads and commercials. Additional film credits include starring roles in the independent feature films The Mallory Effect and Swatters.

Maran currently resides in Los Angeles.
