| by tbjazzcat I just got done with about 30 minutes of the "director's commentary" on the movie "Miracle." First, Gavin shares the commentary with his editor and cinematographer. Second, he talks about 90% of the time. Third, he gets on a topic, and rambles through scenes that deserve commentary on their own. He just doesn't get it. In a "director's commentary," viewers want to learn more about each scene as it happens, not hear some pedantic egoist ramble aimlessly about some philosophical subject he introduced 5 minutes ago. He's a great director, but someone please clue him in about what a "director's cut" commentary should be. Sheesh. If I were sitting in the room with him, I'd slap him and say "shut the hell up and talk about the current scene. You've made your point about the scene 4 scenes ago already!" Comment on this... |

| by larry amoroso Hi Gavin-i know you'd thought you'd never hear from me. But last week while i was shopping at Price Club I would have sworn I saw your brother Greg. He must have been with his mother in law, and was not sure to approach him. I fianlly went out and saw "Tumbleweeds' , and I was very impressed with your work(especially the scene in the restaurant)ceailly . Hope to hear back from you-Larry Amoroso Comment on this... |
