Cellophane Man - fantastic (Wed Oct 29, 2008 7:47pm ET)report post

After the third time watching Chicago, I have concluded that his number was the high point for me. All were excellent, all worked hard, all took me in, but he knocked me out. That performance is as memorable as any I have seen.

John C Reilly has an interview in the aug/sept issue of Moving Pictures Magazine where he tells all about working with Will Ferrell on their recent film. He tells what he's looking to do in the future too. If you want to hear what Reilly has to say in his own words this does it. It should also be on their website soon. www.movingpicturesmagazine.com
Definitely worth the read.

manderlay (Sun Jul 4, 2004 5:22pm ET)report post

I'm glad he walked off too. It doesn't matter if the donkey was scheduled to die anyway! Its just a cruel thing to do for a 'scene'. Nicole Kidman had already walked off the film awhile ago for some other reason.
I hope it bombs.

I love this actor anyway, and I applaud his decision to leave the set. I'm amazed when I think of the courage it must have required; with so much riding on a project, I can hardly imagine the pressure he faced. He has the courage of his convictions, a rare and precious quality.

Thank you John C. Reilly for allowing your decency to overrule the desire for financial gain. Refusing to be a party to the brutal acts that occurred in Manderlay has won you this fan for life. It is heartening to see influential people like you stepping up to be positive role models for all of us, especially young fans.

Why wasn't John C. Reilly given credit for his small role in Anger Management? He plays Sandler's childhood nemesis, and he was really good!

Mr. Reilly is one of the most talented actors to date. It is a pleasure to watch him in everything he does! I've been following him since Boogie Nights and cannot get enough.
And along with what Brittany says - I find myself suprisingly attracted to him.

Amber

PS - I've only heard good things about him from co-stars.
