Darius McCrary
Darius McCrary, born May 1, made his feature film debut in 1987 opposite
Paul Winfield in
Big Shots, in which he played the lead role of the street-wise con artist named
Scam. He made his second film appearance in the Academy Award-nominated film
Mississippi Burning. Among his television credits are guest appearances on the series
Amen,
Hooperman and
What's Happening Now?, as well as several commercials. When not acting, McCrary focuses on his other love, music, and enjoys composing songs that combine R&B and jazz. On
Family Matters, he has performed duets with popular recording artists Tracy Spencer, and Shanice with whom he sang
You're the One..., a song he wrote. In 1992, McCrary also recorded a song he co-wrote about the Los Angeles riots titled,
Work Together.
