I have always liked him, and I've always been happy to see him show up in a film I haven't seen before. He is a wonderful, under-rated actor, and the more I look at him, the more unbelievably beautiful he becomes. I wish he'd get a really knock-out role; one that WOULD win him the Oscar. He is an amazing actor and is really quite good-looking. It's rare to find an actor who isn't in love with themselves. That's something else that makes him attractive. Comment on this... |

| by E. Duett My daughter and I were in New York City for Christmas week. While in Grand Central Station we went to use an ATM, and who did we see talking on his cell phone David Strathairn. We both knew the face immediately, but couldn't put a name to it. My daughter chased him down for his autograph. A nice gentlman, she said, soft spoken, and funny, he signed, "Happy Guessing" because he put her on the spot to name a movie he was in, which she couldin't. He's one of those underrated actors with a large body of work, but you don't know his name. He told her she'd probably throw the autograph in a drawer, come across it years later and wonder who is this???. He underestimated my daughter. She searched the web and found his name, bio and credits and, of course, seeing the list of films, remembered him in all the ones she had seen. If you're out there David, we found you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Comment on this... |
