David Newsom

David Newsom studied film production and writing at Ithaca College and put that knowledge to use in New York City. He began performing monologues at Michael Howard Studios.

When he was in his late twenties, a friend persuaded him to head west -- and though he hadn't intended an acting career, he soon found himself with a bit part on China Beach. Other parts followed, including roles on Quantum Leap and the series Homefront.

Newsom has since had a long and successful career in theatre, television and film. He's appeared on stage in productions including People in the Wind at the Actors Conservatory Ensemble, Death of a Salesman at Catskill Actors Theatre, and Salinger Stolen at Michael Howard Studios.

Newsom was a regular on the series Prodigy, House Rules and Talk to Me. He had a recurring role on Judging Amy, and has guested on many other shows, including Will and Grace and Chicago Hope.

He has appeared in numerous theatrical films, including Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang, Matchbook and Wes Craven's New Nightmare, directed by Wes Craven.
