Mike O'Malley's big break came when he hosted a Nickelodeon game show called Get the Picture. He later hosted its sports/action fantasy show Guts, as well as its special to promote volunteerism, The Big Help.
O'Malley's feature film credits include 28 Days, Pushing Tin, Deep Impact and Above Freezing. Among his television credits are Law & Order and Life with Roger. In addition, he provides the voice of Darryl in the animated series Baby Blues and is well known for his portrayal of sports fanatic The Rick in ESPN's popular promotional spots.
In addition to his acting career, O'Malley is an accomplished playwright. Two of his plays, Three Years from Thirty and Diverting Devotion, have been published, and the latter was produced off-Broadway. His new play, Searching for Certainty, will debut off-Broadway next year.
O'Malley was born in Boston and now lives in Los Angeles. His birthdate is October 31.
